We have declared February the month of the stripe – that is, once we started collaborating with Barb Raymond of French Kiss Events by bringing in a new line of black and white striped table linens for her inspiring French chic wedding; as beautiful as she envisioned it to be.

Channeling our inner Audrey Hepburn and incorporating French Chic into our style offering, has definitely been on our to-do list for this season. Keeping it fresh in black and white or adding a pop of color in pink, teal blue, yellow or lime green screams “timeless classic”. And imagine, adding the colour that is trending this season: tangerine tango; oh yes … !

Sitting Pretty Chic

We all love accessories right?

It can be a very minimal cost, so if it’s in your budget, why not enhance your event and accessorize your chair? Chair sashes are an amazing way to create flare and a little bit of spice to your event! Instead of the typical bow, add a little creativity to the chair. Double the fun by adding two sashes together. Using the thick texture with the pintuck line is great for this! The organza ones work great too, as you can add lighter layers over the dark ones. Try adding a hint of jewels and flowers to your chiavari chairs; tie the sash horizontally on the bottom or vertically from top to bottom of the chair. What better way to add a little hint of color to match your overall design then to use the cap sash. The Iridescent fabric with its matte textures and a seductive hint of sheen creates a fine silk-like feeling. A Vintage lace chair cap or sleeve on the top of the chiavari chair with ribbon looks so elegant. Try tying the sash vertically, add some flowers and greenery. Tangerine and turquoise pintuck, rosette, gingham, lined or striped pattern, and lace are a hot trend for 2012. Creativity on the sash is simply endless and can really add elegance to your event!

Are you a free-spirited bride? Do you dress to please yourself rather than tradition? Do you find romance in the warmth and beauty of nature? If so, your bridal style might be a good match for a bohemian beach wedding!

If you are dreaming of a beach wedding, and need a little inspiration with a chic bohemian twist, check out the collage we’ve put together. The perfect Chuppah made out of bamboo draped with soft flowing material blowing in the wind. Pale pinks, hot pinks, greens and oranges are the perfect colours to add to the mood.

You might enjoy creating beautiful Driftwood or Grapewood centerpieces just by adding a few touches. Simply use Driftwood or Grapewood and your flower arrangements or jewels to create a beach theme centerpiece display. Combine floating candles and vases to add light and height to your arrangement.

“Vintage Shabby Chic It”

September 23rd, 2011 | Posted by Charming Decor in Wedding Rentals - (1 Comments)

We have been waiting to bust out our creative rentals and design, and there is really no better look than “Vintage Shabby Chic” in yellow and blue. We went a little bonkers over a simple piece of burlap! Maybe a slight obsession, but us crafts lovers just can’t help it! We think about it day and night, and once we finish one thing, we are already creating the next.

The burlap table runner, “The Just Married Sign, “Love Sign” and the “Mr. & Mrs.” burlap signs for the chairs are added to our new Vintage rentals, as well as the turquoise mason jars (different colours available) and the chalkboard signage to name a few.

“And then there were lemons” … so of course we needed a lemonade stand, a Vintage car, a Shabby Chic cabinet and bird cage; and before I knew it I was heading across the street to my neighbour Betty to see if I could borrow some livestock! That would be “Morgan“ the horse!

Charming Decor Rentals & Design inspiration was joined in a collaboration of the most amazing creative team. Scrumptious and yellow & blue cupcakes from Brenda Davies @ The Fairy Cakemother, amazing yellow & white flowers and a few Vintage props from Tina Barabonoff @ Platinum Floral Designs, the most amazing photographer Sarah Munn @ Smiling Rain Photography & Vintage Props captured everything that we imagined!

Our models Jaimee Devlin & Jonathan Hart had only met a couple days prior, little did they know they would have their wedding day just a few days later! lol!!….. her gown from Victoria Bridal Boutique, hair by Christina Loxam and makeup by Alexa Rae’s makeup artistry were absolutely stunning. And, of course, our little cutie-patootie models Jacob & Joshua were little stars in action; can they get any cuter?

Enjoy our photo gallery! ……now we’re onto another creation…..

Well, we looked far and wide for these Manzanita branches, but I tell you, it was well worth the wait …  and… we may be slightly in love.

The Manzanita branches have become one of our favourite decor centerpieces. They are a bold statement and so versatile. It doesn’t take much to have a lot of impact. You can leave the Manzanita branch in its natural state; add just a few elements, or load it with different items such as, favours, flowers; hanging votive candles or even crystals are possible for a more dramatic look.

What is even more perfect is that the Manzanita branches come in different sizes (medium and tall) and colours such as brown, black, silver or white!

Our “Manzaninnies” are waiting to complete your perfect wedding day or event decor.
